In March, the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies has updated the lists of protected designation of origin (PDO), protected geographical indication (PGI) and traditional speciality guaranteed (TSG) products and traditional agri-food products (TAP).

In 2018 a new P.D.O. Ossolano, a cheese from the province of Verbania Cusio Ossola in Piedmont, previously included among the traditional agri-food products.

We also have a new P.G.I., Lenticchia di Altamura, present in the province of Bari, Barletta-Andria-Trani in Puglia, Matera and Potenza in Basilicata.

Among the products in the list of traditional agri-food products, the new products included are:

Sardinia Region

1.       Binu de arangiu

2.       Sitzigorru

3.       Cipolla di San Giovanni

4.       Sapa di arancia

5.       Tardivo di San Vito

Sicily Region

1.       Zucca virmiciddara, Cucuzza virmiciddara

Valle d’Aosta Region

1.       Crèichèn, Créchén

2.       Flantse e Flantsón

3.       Mécoulén, Mécoula e Pan de Cogne

4.       Piata di Issogne
